Personal Profile

 

Hi, my name is Marshall. I am a drummer with experience in jazz, Afro-Cuban, rock, improv and more. I have studied Spanish in Valencia for over 100 hours. 

I held the drum seat at the National Youth Jazz Orchestra big band for five years. I obtained a grade 8 with distinction on the drum kit for trinity college music in 2019. Furthermore, I studied for 15 hours at Morley College in the Afro-Cuban ensemble. I have played at many venues across London, including Foyles Book Shop and O2 Academy Islington. I am a fully qualified TEFL teacher, recently obtaining my TEFL Level 5 Diploma Certification in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. In addition, I am currently a teacher, specialising in the drum kit, having taught over 400 hours at the ‘School Of Rhythm in south London. I studied the drum kit for a year in Berlin. I also have plenty of travel and volunteering experience, such as volunteering for Freedom from Torture, Parallel London and Crisis. I have experiences in many fields of work, such as retail, customer service and warehouse work.
